Scholarship Effort a Success!
The Class of ’69 has become known as a class that gets things rolling.
In response to a request from the HHSAA Scholarship Committee, members of the Class of ’69 created a scholarship fund to be used to help this year’s seniors.
The first ever Class of '69 Scholarship provided $1000 to Alice Calhoun, Class of 2009. Alice was selected by the High School administration in recognition of her achievements in leadership, academics and athletics (tennis).
Alice is the daughter of Claudia Ross Calhoun, Class of 1980, and granddaughter of Dr. Marion & Mrs. Ann Ross.
Congratulations to Alice who is planning to attend the College of Charleston!
Thanks to all those who contributed and to Sally Moffitt for her leadership in organizing the Class of '69 Scholarship and challenging other reunion classes to do the same.
